Rearcross U-11's travelled to the Garda College Grounds in Templemore for this U-11 league clash against BT Harps 'B' last Saturday. A well contested opening half saw few clear cut chances created by the visitors with Paul Nolan and Sean Malone turning in strong defensive displays. BT Harps edged ahead with five minutes remaining in the half when Cory Morrissey scored from the spot. Cathal Kennedy was called in to action after this making two fine saves to deny the home side. Rearcross upped the ante in the second half and were unlucky not to equalize when Andy Kinnane burst through the centre and was luckless to see his well struck effort drag inches wide of the upright. The visitors got back level midway through the half when Patrick Dawson swivelled before sending a fine effort inside the far post. The leveller was short lived however as the home side were awarded a free a minute later, Padraig Kinnane stepped up to send a smashing effort to the roof of the net. Rearcross batted gallantly to get back in to the game but met stiff resistance from a stubborn BT Harps rearguard to deny the visitors a deserved share of the spoils on the day.
